
ABOUT THE CHALLENGE
The global Floating Wind Challenge is a challenge initiated by OffshoreWind4Kids. The challenge stimulates young engineers to design and build the best floating wind support structure. During the 2023 edition young engineers had to build the best floating wind support structure for a Vevor 400W turbine! 🌊💨 aftermovie coming soon!
AFTERMOVIE 2022 EDITION
The first edition was organised in the academic year of 2021/2022, with a final competition at Deltares in May 2022. 10 groups from around the world participated in the challenge of which 6 teams tested their structure at the basin in Deltares. For the 2023 edition we went even bigger and held the final competition at Scheveningen beach 🇳🇱 We are now preparing for the 2024 edition.

Applications for entry to the 2024 Floating Wind Challenge will open in September. If your team / university is considering participating in the world's most prestigious and challenging offshore wind competition, please send us an email and pre-register for the 2024 edition.
